Tam has been married to Dr. Chomas for over 30 years and has worked in the office on at least a part time basis since he began practicing in Watsontown in 1990. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College, and has experience in the counseling and social work fields. She considers her education and experience to be extremely useful due to the people-oriented and service-centered nature of the field of Dentistry. Tam is our administrative manager and coordinates the business operations of the office.
Tam is originally from rural Bedford County, PA. Tam and Dale have a daughter, Kerry, who works as an Occupational Therapist for Susquehanna Health, and a son, Andrew, who is completing his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of Colorado. Tam is involved in her church, has served on the Warrior Run School Board, a member of W.V. Wesleyan College's Alumni Council, and is on the Board of Directors of Warrior Run Manor, a senior citizens' housing complex in Watsontown. Even though they are now empty-nesters, Tam and Dale enjoy the company of their dog Finnegan and their cat Charlie, and enjoy traveling, as well as keeping fit at the Milton YMCA, hiking, and outdoor activities. They have been keeping very busy with their grandson, Lucas, who was born in 2014.
"What I like best about my job is that every day we have the opportunity to have a positive impact by helping people achieve and maintain good dental health. Each patient is of value to us and we enjoy getting to know them and seeing their families grow up. We have wonderful patients and a fantastic team, and are fortunate to be living in such a great community."
Finnegan, a retired racing greyhound, joined the Chomas household in Dec 2013. Ask Tam about greyhound adoption - these 45 mph couch potatoes make gentle and loving companions. Monicas's Heart Greyhound Adoption is a great resource if you are considering adopting a retired racer.
