Dr. Joshua R. Henzler grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and has been interested in dentistry since he was a child.
"As a young kid, I was never afraid to go to the dentist. My childhood dentist always had a way to make me smile and feel comfortable in the office. That is why I am here today and that is the kind of environment I would like to provide for my patients as well."
After graduation from Lancaster Catholic High School, Josh decided to follow in his mother and father's foot steps-and decided to continue his studies at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia. While enrolled at West Virginia Wesleyan, Dr. Henzler met his beautiful wife (and Buckhannon native) Katherine. Later, Josh was introduced to a former Wesleyan graduate Dr. Dale Chomas. Dr. Henzler graduated with honors from Wesleyan with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University in May 2014.
After a trip to Watsontown with his family, Dr. Henzler was convinced that the quiet, small town was where he wanted to settle down and practice dentistry. "The area is so beautiful and seems to be a nice mixture of the lush farmland I grew up with and the rolling hills I experienced while living in West Virginia."
When not working, Dr. Henzler likes to keep busy in other ways. He enjoys a variety of outdoor sports including hunting, fishing, golfing, and skiing. He also loves rooting for his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, spending time with his niece/nephew and four year old English bulldog, Ava. Dr. Henzler and his wife had their first child in February. They welcomed Virginia Ann into their family!
"I am very excited to begin practicing here in Watsontown and look forward to meeting its many wonderful people."
